Gosh, I can’t believe it took me so long before chosing my favorite dress pictures from my 30. Birthday! Yes, I precise dress picturse because I do have so many picturse from this incredible evening. As I had told you here (first shooting on a boat) and here (all about the Gatsby birthday preparation) I had planned for a long time my 30. Birthday on privatised boat in Paris. Cruising on the seine with family and friends, that’s how i wanted to celebrate this new decade to come! (If you look for a cool and glamourous plae to privatize in Paris, don’t hesitate: Book a boat on the seine!] And as I am a huge fan of vintage and glamour styles, I had no difficulties to find the theme that would incarnate it best: Gatsby! The movie, the 1920, it’s for me the symbol of joy, excesses, feminity, party…all things you need for a party haha! Of course, besides the long preparation including decoration, catering, music etc, I spend hours and hours looking for the perfect gatsby dress. The thing is, I had decided that I needed a long dress…but if you google gatsby dresses online or ask for it in shops, you mostly get short so called flapper dresses. Not what I had in mind! After 3 months i ended up finding the perfect dress in a vintage shop. Don’t you think that despite being long, it looks quite gatsby?
One of my favorite aspects of this looks is however not even the dress, but the hairstyle! The hairdresser 365C in Paris really did an incredile work, I wanted a chignon with some accessoires for y hair and they totally nailed it.
Looking at these pictures makes me realize how happy I am to be 30 – I feel that I am really where I want to be, I have so many plans, am so much happier than I was 10 years ago. And I couldn’t thank more the photographer, Elizaveta, who took all pictures of the party. I didn’t even met her before the event, but she did such a great work, and thanks to her I do now have pictures from this incredible day that I’ll cherish during my whole life for sure.
